We repurpose retired fishing gear into unique housewares such as baskets, rugs, bowls, coasters, trivets, centerpieces, and more. Located on the beautiful Kenai Peninsula, we clean, coil, and knot ropes into beautiful, durable items.

At Alaska Rug Company, we are dedicated to upcycling rope throughout Alaska, transforming it into stunning handwoven rugs, mats, and other housewares to prevent it from ending up in landfills or on our beaches. We also offer many items made of new rope, to expand our collection of nautical style home decor and sustainable rope art.

Alaska Rug Company was founded in the winter of 2010. We are celebrating 15 years of business!

We offer custom signs and rugs tailored to your needs. Our best-selling wares are available in almost every major town in Alaska, and we proudly showcase our products annually at the Alaska State Fair in August and September.
