Blue Market AK is a small woman-owned “old-world grocer” with a “zero-waste” model, featuring food and cooking items, fresh local produce, personal care products, household cleansers, gifts and more all unpackaged in bulk or packaged in reusable or repurposed containers (no single-use plastics). At least 45% of our vendors are local Alaskans. All products have been carefully vetted based on their impact to the planet, considering the materials they are made from and packaged in and their carbon footprint. This careful selection process provides convenience and peace of mind by ensuring the products at Blue Market are eco-friendly, and addresses shopping-overload anxiety by reducing the number of choices that bigger stores with hundreds of brands can produce. We also offer free space for local artists and makers to “Popup” and sell their handmade products. Those who shop at Blue Market AK consciously give back to the planet, every day, as 1% of all of our proceeds are donated to local nonprofits who support sustainability and eco-friendly lifestyles.
- Online ordering or phone ordering for curbside or in-store pickup (not delivery) is available.
- Blue Market AK Membership (optional) gives shoppers 10% off their order every time they shop with us.
-- New 2021 Memberships are $100, and prorated quarterly.
- Popup in our store if you are an Alaskan maker: free Wed-Thurs-Fri-Sun and $25 fee on Saturdays.
