Tlingit Tours provides an educational experience of the native culture with some history of Ketchikan. The 3 Hour Tour includes areas for picture opportunities and looking for wildlife. During the salmon run, we make a stop at the Salmon Ladder on Park Avenue.
We will stop at Potlatch Park, it’s locally and operated. With totem poles displayed, a clan house with beautiful native formline carved, using cedar trees. On display is a finished totem pole at the wood carving shed. Hear about traditional techniques with carving that was once used by our ancestors. Stop in the museum and see the family’s personal collection of antique firearms, vintage cedar weaved baskets and a showcase of totem poles that are available to take home to remember our native culture.
