During our current labor shortage in Fairbanks, improving your HR management strategies can have an amazing effect on a company’s workforce. If you are struggling with retaining or expanding your existing workforce, join us on Tuesday, Oct. 8th, 2024 for “The Basics of Human Resources Management (HRM)” located in Fairbanks, Alaska, and presented by our very own Jade Greene, Director, Fairbanks SBDC.
During this workshop, you will learn:
- How to hire and/or expand your workforce;
- How to maintain HRM competencies in a changing marketplace; and
- How to define the essential duties of your HRM Department to maintain compliance.
You’ll also be given access to the SBDC’s handout, “10 Tips to Help Small Businesses Avoid Costly HR Errors.”
ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Jade Greene, Director, Fairbanks Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Jade Greene is an accomplished professional with over thirty years of experience offering entrepreneurs assistance and counseling in best business practices for creating or expanding their small businesses. She draws upon her expertise as a Consultant listening to the needs of clients to offer realistic and sustainable solutions for their business questions and/ or concerns. Her areas of expertise also include HR Management and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. She is also in the process of completing Lean Six Sigma certification. Jade graduated from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Psychology. Her education continued, focusing on Global Management, with a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Jade is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Capella University (specializing in Entrepreneurship and Leadership) which will be completed by the end of 2024.
