I create 3D models using AutoCAD. Mainly Mechanical, Structural and Piping systems with most of the work being for drill sites on the North Slope. I can create models for just about anything a person might need but not house plans. I also write programs and customize the user interface to make using AutoCAD a lot easier and therefore more productive. One of my clients told me that his carpal tunnel pain was greatly diminished because of the customization I had done for him. I created custom dynamic blocks with mounting holes in them. As the block’s size is changed the holes move maintaining centering and equal spacing between them. Previously when he placed hundreds of these panels in his dwg he would spend a day manually searching to find panels that were identical. With the program I wrote for him that day of work is no longer necessary. Less work less carpal tunnel pain.
