Ptarmigan Arts is a cooperative art gallery owned and operated by 38 member artists. A year-round gallery, Ptarmigan Arts carries quality local artwork and handcrafted items including original paintings, pottery, fine woodworking, jewelry, sculpture, metalwork, fiber/wearable arts, stained and fused glass, photography, Alaskan fine art prints, and cards. Member artists staff the gallery, providing customers and visitors with expert knowledge of the artwork. Many of the Ptarmigan artists participate in the Made in Alaska program. Extended business hours May through September and on the monthly First Friday.
