Shearwater Cove offers an adventurous lodging package which includes a round trip, scenic boat tour in Resurrection Bay, oceanfront yurt lodging, sea kayaking, and hiking. During a stay at our off-grid lodge guests have full access to our fleet of sea kayaks and associated gear for exploring the magnificent, protected coastline that surrounds Shearwater Cove. Upon arrival at the Cove, our live-in host greets guests and provides a full orientation to the yurts and sea kayaks. Guests are welcome to explore at their own pace, or book a guided kayaking session with our host. This kayak and lodging package is a wonderful way to experience remote Alaska at your own pace, away from the crowds. Our yurts are equipped with off-grid luxuries including a queen memory foam mattress, kitchen, heat, running water, shower, compost toilet, and private deck. A 2 night stay gives time to visit the main kayaking destinations near Shearwater Cove: Fox Island, Humpy Cove, and Kayaker’s Cove.
