As a small business based in the heart of Soldotna, Alaska Kenai Drift Anglers has been privileged to serve locals and tourists alike with our unique fishing experience. We offer guided fishing trips on the Kenai River & Kasilof River, which is known for its world-class salmon and trout fishing. However, as a small business, we have faced many challenges over the years. Thankfully, we have been able to overcome these challenges with the support of our fellow Alaskans.
One of the key ways that Alaskans have helped us is by spreading the word about our business. When locals and visitors have a great experience with us, they often tell their friends and family about it. This has helped us to build a strong reputation for quality service and exceptional fishing experiences. Word of mouth is a powerful marketing tool, and we are grateful for the positive reviews and recommendations that we have received from our customers. Alaskans know people and what’s great about that is if you run a good quality business, they tell many of their friends, the good word in Alaska travels like wildfire.
Another way that Alaskans have helped us is by supporting us during Covid. The fishing season in Alaska is relatively short, and we rely on 5 months of fishing trips to sustain our business. Alaskans were instrumental in supporting us during these times, whether it was booking a trip with us during the Pandemic or telling their friends to come fish with Kenai Drift Anglers. This support has allowed us to continue operating and growing our business, even during the Pandemic.
Alaskans really stepped up to the plate during the Pandemic for local Alaskan fishing guide services. They also appreciated how easy it was to book a charter in 2020, Alaskans usually wait till the last minute to book a fishing charter and unfortunately the tourist will sometimes book out a year in advance just to reserve special dates. It felt good as a business owner to finally provide the opportunity for Alaskans to come fish with us!
Finally, Alaskans have helped us by sharing their knowledge and expertise about Alaska. We have learned a great deal from our fellow Alaskans about the history and stories of Alaska. We love hearing their stories and how “Alaska once was” and what it means to them. I gain so much knowledge from our locals that provides great history and information for our tourist as well. This knowledge has helped us to provide an even better experience for our customers and to become a more integral part of the local community.
In conclusion, Kenai Drift Anglers owes a debt of gratitude to the people of Alaska. The support that we have received from Alaskans has helped us to grow our business and to provide an exceptional fishing experience to all who come our way. We look forward to continuing to serve our fellow Alaskans and visitors alike, and we are grateful for the ongoing support of our community.
Sincerely,
Kenai Drift Anglers
